While the quantity and quality of Kirkwood’s snow and sick routes are legendary among advanced boarders and skiers, one of the lesser-known benefits of the mountain is its accessibility. Unlike most Tahoe resorts Kirkwood is located on the south side of the lake, making it much faster to get to – especially on snow days when traffic is frozen on the 80. In customary fashion Yellow Bus took a completely different line to putting Kirkwood on top.
